Why US clients engage a European studio

The studio has no American office; it works with US clients as a concept and design-development partner, pairing with a local architect of record for permitting, code and construction administration. What the studio contributes is a distinctly European design voice — Lithuanian restraint, Italian material culture, twenty years of large-budget residential and hospitality work in Central Asia — and a method that develops architecture and interiors together rather than in sequence.

The link to the United States already exists in practice: INTERNI’s American partner Luminaire — with showrooms in Coral Gables (Miami), Chicago and West Hollywood (Los Angeles) — presents Rolandas Kliučinskas among its “visionary architects and designers”, alongside Massimo Castagna, Palomba Serafini and Rene Gonzalez. Through the Luminaire + INTERNI network, Italian furniture, surfaces and custom pieces specified in Milan are procured, shipped and installed in the US under one coordinated service.

Private Villa, Almaty

Indoor–outdoor continuity, structural “tree” columns and custom glazing framing the mountains — a residence designed for a continental climate with hot summers and real winters, which translates directly to many US regions.

Cloud — Material & Light Object

Product-scale design with Clavis & Cincinno: a modular “Cloud” family exploring light, sound and material atmosphere — the same sensibility applied to the furniture and lighting layer of a residence.

Editorial dialogue with INTERNI

INTERNI Journal published “Talk: Rolandas Kliučinskas” in February 2024 and followed with an INTERNI Signature design talk; the architect is also featured in INTERNI Design Experience.
